Our Story
Connect for Games was born from a simple desire to see people connect through the shared joy of tabletop gaming. We believe that every game is a bridge to conversation, a tool for building empathy, and a catalyst for lasting community bonds. Our founders are passionate about creating a space where every player feels seen, heard, and inspired to play.

Founded in 2018, Connect for Games led several small and large events, and partnered with other community groups. Unfortunately due to Covid, operations ceased. In late 2026 Connect for Games was dusted off and restarted.Â

Our Mission
Our mission is to empower a thriving gaming community where inclusivity, empathy, and shared experiences take center stage. As a gaming-focused non-profit, we aim to bridge social divides and spark meaningful connections through the universal language of tabletop and board games. We stand for a world where every individual, regardless of background, finds a place at the table and a voice in the game.
Curated Selection
Our game library is hand-picked to foster collaboration and empathy, focusing on mechanics that encourage interaction. Members are encouraged to bring and teach their favourites as well.

Partnerships
By putting empathy at the center of the table, we turn simple games into powerful tools for building lasting social bonds.
How We Do It
We build community through the power of shared play. By hosting accessible gaming events in community spaces, we create low-stakes environments where strangers become teammates and conversation flows naturally over the game board.

Our team will lead and teach a curated selection of games, but feel free to bring your favorites and play!
